We advise German and Chinese companies, both those wishing to engage in or currently operating in the market, on all legal questions arising from their business-related activities.
Our firm has a Chinese-speaking lawyer, who owing to her studies and work experience in China, is well acquainted with the law, the cultural customs and the requirements and opportunities for German companies in China.
In addition to our own expertise, we maintain a partnership with a Chinese law firm in Shanghai, in order to provide our clients with on-site consulting services and to facilitate the process of handling formalities in China. Their expertise, experience and close contacts with authorities and courts benefits our clients.
The range of our services includes advice on the appropriate forms of investments, the establishment of representative offices, joint ventures and wholly foreign owned enterprises, including the monitoring of the licensing and registration process.
Moreover, we assist and advise our clients in the restructuring of their foreign invested enterprises, as for example in the conversion of a joint venture into a wholly foreign owned enterprise.
As a matter of course, our consulting service also includes the fields of labour law, tax law, sales law, commercial law, real estate law and law of leases.
We also assist our clients with regard to intellectual property (IP) rights and support them upon questions on licensing as well as regarding the protection of technology and trademarks. We represent them in enforcing their interests in the case of viola-tions.
Legal support in M&A transactions is also part of our field of activities as well as the realisation of due diligences, e.g. in the case of acquisitions of assets of Chinese companies or in the case of establishing joint ventures.
